look what i've done! not wishing everyone a happy lunar new year right at the beginning! haha, what a spontaneous blogger i am. anyway, nothing much tdy..just enjoyed the best part of one of my favourite times of the year. watching the family gather round. hmm, i just love the crowd in my family. maybe cos i grew up having ppl to visit me till my granny moved to punggol. or maybe cos they're ppl i envy so much. five middle-aged siblings having such a good time every year. i wonder if my cousins and i will grow up to be.

AND i like cny cos when the visiting's over, everyone comes online! AND THEY ARE NOT AWAY OR BUSY! hurray! the joyous time of the year. i'm popping confetti at my lappie screen. i finally like, acty talk to ppl..and not be having discussions that u know, have a purpose. it's acty more happening during cny than during xmas. every now and then an msn window or sms pops up wishing me a happy doggy year. i wish them a dogged year back. haha, that's not true of cos. but it made me think why there's no hamster year. or fish year. my two favourite pets excluded! grr. i guess they first must figure out the chinese name for hamster. which is cang1 shu3, for those who are forever confused by like 6 other alternative names. haha. cang shu cang shu! unfortunately diaryland doesn't recognise chinese words. :(

first up, why only now. cos ppl adapt. now that i foresee how my life will be like for this coming yr (having my timetable and hall activities up and all), i then start thinking abt what i can and want to do this yr. (: come to think of it, it's my first resolutions setting event of my life anyway. must make it big. haha!

1. have my own fashion sense. dun just wear anything for late's or lazy's sake. of cos muz be comfy too, but i wanna put more effort into how i dress, and be consistent in my fashion sense.

2. read. read read read read read! been trying to catch up on lost literature over the years. sigh, no life in jc! dun go to jc!

3. have a gpa of 3.8 to 4.2, which basically means hovering between 2nd class lower and upper. progressive climb ya know? (:

4. improve on all things IT. cos i think it's so cool. and infinite. so there's no end to learning.

5. spend as much time at home as possible. cos (and i'll probably only say it here) i really miss everyone at home..everyone who's family to me. -teardrop-

6. attend one 10/03 outing. ridiculous resolution? not really..haven't been able to attend a single one ever since jc ended. i feel so so guilty. sorry to anyone relevant reading this!

7. appreciate everyone more, esp bambam..it's not easy to always be there for someone when u're going thru a hard time yourself, but he always manages to do just that..and due to that, i'm the luckiest person in the world of the both of us..

8. tidy up my life. tie up the loose ends, throw away excess baggage, put everything where they're supposed to.

i dun think i've left out anything, so i'll blog agn when i'm more awake..nites world..

anyway, yesterday was ho opening! that stands for hall olympiads. which is rather meaningless cos one week later is its closing. and all the interhall games are all abt done. cos they started in november. and the opening ceremony is in january. they shd just name it interhall cheerleading competition. which brings me to my next point. IT'S SO EXCITING!! confetti flying, mentos flying, skirts flying, and even more girls flying! but we kinda watched it with a tinge of sianness. cos without a string of events we'd have been there, albeit not champion but still, there. and i'd be the highest flyer. it's just the whole hall 6 thing agn i guess. they never do something without the confidence of getting champion. which, is a topic of debate agn but i'm sure ppl will keep it in for now and let it all out in next yr's rally. saw many frens there! shuqin, alina, yanxuan, yunxin, peiqi, beisi, yixin, xiuyun, shuhui, meizhen and many other dh, tj and cs faces. seeing them with makeup is quite different haha. and cos they have to be ultra high they're like jumping and skipping all around, urging the crowd to get high together. at first it was quite fun, but after watching like 10 teams it kinda dies down, with only their own hall cheering together with them. but the last team, hall 7, was really a blast la! they really deserve their champion man. retro routine sia! together with their costumes and the whole integration of dance and cheerleading routine. mindblowing man. really a great finale! well done hall 7!

anyway, some ppl shd know that or saw that there was one guy who dislocated his elbow early in the performance. and he carried on performing. and he twisted his elbow back. BUT HOW MANY PPL KNOW THAT I WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM WHEN IT HAPPENED?! traumatic, i tell you!! goosebumps, ants on my skin, gripping my own elbow, forcing my eyes shut, you name it! but wow! what a zai guy..in the middle of the performance, even before the first aid reached him, he had settled it himself. my goodness. pei fu as i am to tt guy, i never want to see it agn. gosh.

and i just submitted my warranty for my phone online. and pasted the tricky screen protectors on myself. there were 3 altogether k! ranging from the very small, for the camera, to the very big (if you've seen my screen you'll believe it). i've to clean off all the dust from the phone, and peel off the correct layer, and then put it exactly in place. all of which require a sticky layer of plastic. yay! nothing of that sort mentioned in the instructions manual. i'm improving. and i was thinking, after the whole thing, why the world needs dust. and what is dust anyway. can someone please answer me?

memoirs of a geisha tmr with super click (hopefully! -crosses fingers-)and elizabethtown on saturday! yay..and i'm downloading in her shoes, cos no one wants to watch that..but why?? it looks like a nice show, and there's cameron diaz!! my fave girl anytime. seriously. she's so zai la.

ok, off to dinner. in the middle of a remotely familiar drama serial. but nvm, i'll catch up in no time (: being at home rocks!!

Rule 1: 5 weird or random things about myself

i) i love visiting pet shops! esp the hamsters! it's quite a new hobby actually. it all started out with two rather consecutive trips to parkway where there's this very qi2 quan2 pet shop and aquarium! sam's, i think. anyway, and since then i just love visiting pet shops! not that i didn't like it before..i do! but it was more like aquariums, not pet shops. i went to the lck fish farm once, and i was absolutely captivated by the baby blue lobsters! oh actually i shd say blue baby lobsters. haha. and they're transparent too! and pet prawns! (though i think they're really there to be fed to some big fishes, sob.) so there. in particular, i'm smitten with pudding hamsters! their fur is pure golden! that's what makes them so rare and expensive. last sat i was at this pet shop in bishan st 22, and the whole cage of hamsters were sleeping, except for this hyperactive pudding hamster that keeps going on to the ferris wheel..so cute! after which he barged into a group of hamsters and woke them up for the day while he slept soundly! haha..i adored it! simply cos of his un-nocturnalness. ok, more of it in the normal blog entry. i think i've digressed enough. :D

ii) my favourite cartoon character is elmo! cos of his shrill voice and crazy personality! i can just spend one whole aftn watching elmo's world (if there's such a vcd) and then keep cracking up..while hugging my 24" elmo plush! yes i have that! but i fall asleep the fastest with my favourite marshmallow/foam beads cushion, baobei! fastest cos i normally take some time to fall asleep (and also to wake up). favourite marshmallow cushion cos i have 3 altogether. all at home. in hall i've cushie! the biggest (but not reddest) of all. and not foam beads. i just love baobei's smell, hehe. oh, and the 3 reddies i sometimes mention are elmo, baobei and cushie! my 3 impt companions, really! come to think of it, maybe i shd incl my red reebok jacket too. it which accompanied me thru one whole sem..

iii) my favourite movie genres are quite extreme. on one hand, i love children's stories like harry potter, a series of unfortunate events and charlie and the chocolate factory (not so much narnia). on the other, i enjoy erm..saw. and transporter2. action/violence/gore. yup. hehe. well, i like romantic comedies too, just that i feel the money is better spent on something more intense (:

iv) i've never gotten cramps for pms. i've never fainted, or gotten drunk before. things that i'd regard myself to be one of the luckiest people in the world. not that i'm desperate or sadistic, but if i could help it, i'd like to experience how they feel like, at least once. i dun really wanna live thru life not knowing what it's like to be drunk and spilling out stuff i'd never have said, or not knowing what's being light-headed and blacking out. ok i know how weird it sounds but really! they're not evil stuff, and they're common. ok well, to be fair i was just wondering how they feel like. i'm not dying to experience it. like i said, i feel so lucky. (:

v) i have a boyfriend who eats the whole category of food that i don't. and vice versa. but hey, look on the bright side..he'd make a good french fry fren.

as mentioned, i love pudding hamsters. i acty alighted at bishan st22 on the way to j8, cos there's a pet shop there! and sad to say, there're only hamsters and pet food in the shop but nvm, there are hamsters. haha. quite a quiet cage, really, maybe cos it was only 4pm. but our cute little pudding friend just kept wheeling! the fittest hamster in the cage, apparently! sportshamster of the cage..u rock, little one!

oh..and then there's this.

:))))) many-double-chined smile. it's such a beauty! i'm still overwhelmed. believe me. it still feels unbelievable whenever i return to my desk and see it lying there classically, haha, or i wake up and find it beside me, or even just watching it disappear without a trace in my jeans pocket. no thickness! so.. :)))))

been missing for sucha long time cos sch has started. so has hall life. and the missing of home. sigh. sucha slack timetable, but so badly scheduled.

let's first start out with what i did on the evening of the eve of new year's eve! i went to this waffles restaurant at east point!






it's this great and cosy place with board games, toys, funky armchairs, jolly employees and all the magazines in the world! (the food was..okay..) haha, and they have interesting soft drink bottles from thailand! AND it has the lighting and ambience of a regular restaurant..if u like westlife u must go there! big big LCD screen (think mac's) playing westlife mtvs over and over..woohoo. yup, that's all i did..unless u wanna hear abt the monster that jumped out from behind my door before i left the house. haha, who is my bf in disguise. who arrived early, and IN MY HOUSE instead of ORCHARD, cos he got an early dismissal AND a lift frm his pc (swoon..) ..ya..some kind of surprise huh..ambush more like it..the saf trains its ppl well..great job!

new year's eve! should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? no! haha..i was out shopping! at lucky plaza and far east..but we got caught in the rain halfway..so we had to detour to taka via underpass to eat and..shop some more. and out of the millions of ppl at levi's, guess, zara, esprit, isetan, and tha walkway outside isetan, who shd i bump into but my dear sister cherie! -jumps- it's really fate man! and we acty saw each other thru a fitting mirror..how cute rite? haha..we had such a fun time finding and losing my bf..who can camouflage into anything..ya..credits go to saf agn! we're meeting agn tonite! woohoo. as in, sisters. bf is doing guaaaard dutyyyyy..

and i finally set my eyes on a dress! the first since ages ago!
