anyway! just wanted to share cool stuff i hear from ppl all over singapore. basically, when i call ppl, my opening speech has 3 parts..introduction, purpose of call, and permission to conduct survey. goes like this.
intro: good morning/aftn/evening, i'm yt, cro from ntuc income.
purpose of call: we would like to get some feedback regarding the recent ..(whatever business the ph has with us)
permission: is it conv for you to spare afew minutes of your time?

me: ...we would like to get some feedback,
ph: sorry ah, i'm a doctor and i'm in the middle of an operation. some other day please!

me: ...spare afew minutes of your time?
bitch: time is money.
me: erm..may i know if you have afew minutes to spare?
bitch: i told you already, minutes is money.
me: may i know if you would like me to continue with my survey then?
bitch: up to you.
me: it's ok, thank you very much, have a nice day, byebye! (and screw you)

me: ...from ntuc income,
bitch 2: not interested. -hangs up-

me: ...we would like to seek your feedback about remittance service,
ph: i'm sorry i dun do any remittance so please ask somebody else to do the survey la hor, byebye.

me: ...from ntuc income,
bastard: yes?
me: we would like to gather some feedback regarding..
bastard: what feedback?
me: oh, we would like to know how you feel abt our service quality..
bastard: how would it benefit me?
me: we are trying to evaluate our service quality and see how we can improve on it..
bastard: if it does not benefit me i dun see why i shd do it. okay. byebye.

me: may i speak with mr xx?
irritating old man: he's not in, may i know who's speaking?
me: i'm calling from ntuc income, may i know when he will be back?
iom: can u leave ur name and contact number and i'll get him to call u?
me: this is an outbound call centre and i'm afraid he can't reach me. may i know when is a good time to call back?
iom: i'll get him to call u! why dun u give me ur number??
me: it would be quite difficult to reach me on this number, it's ok i'll call back some other time, byebye.
iom: ntuc is a big company! how can dun have number? u must be an imposter! dun try to cheat old ppl like me!
